Non-tenure track Assistant Professor begin Fall 2020 ( 75% teaching and 25% service). Teaching responsibilities include courses in support of majors in pre-veterinary medicine, animal biosciences, animal sciences, and the minor in equine science. Participate in undergraduate student recruitment, advisement, mentoring. The remaining 25% service responsibility will be as Staff Veterinarian for the University of Delaware’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Service responsibilities include: oversight of agricultural animals used in teaching/research; training of undergraduate and graduate students in animal care and use guidelines; regular review and revision of programmatic standard operating procedures and documents; and semiannual inspection of agricultural research facilities. 


Candidates will possess DVM/PhD or DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school, significant training/experience in agricultural animals and agricultural animal medicine, and will be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice veterinary medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience teaching animal science and/or equine science at the post-secondary education level, as well as candidates w/prior experience with policies and procedures related to the institutional care and use of animals in teaching, research, and service.

Associate Veterinarian Needed (Hockessin, DE)
